This is a great little helicopter and for the price it's hard to beat. It been modelled very well and actually looks like an Apache, and although the blue and red flashing lights might not be authentic they actually look quite good (not too tacky).
The only thing I'd be careful of is that it is initially tricky to fly, you need to be very delicate with the trimming and soft and smooth with the controls. It might take some getting used to for a novice as once you've set the trim in a hover as soon as you move forward and have to increase power to maintain height you rotate as the extra power means the trim no longer holds you straight. To counter this you have to add a bit of rudder/rotation to maintain a straight path.
It might take a bit to get used to but is much better than the cheap two channel helicopters, I'd always go for a three or more channel.
One last tip, if you want an easier to fly helicopter go for Syma's other model, the Chinook, it's also three channel, easier to control and not that much more expensive.
For the money, you can't go wrong, great fun and has survived some pretty nasty crashes - even though it looks flimsy. Quite hard to control well, and probably not up to the standard of more expensive models, but you get what you pay for. Lot of fun for £20.
