Got it for my 3-year old, who loves it and won't let the set out of his sight!

Yeah, it's expensive, almost ludicrously so (I suppose the Cars licence didn't come cheap), but it's a bit cheaper than RRP on here, and we've experience of other brands with missing and poorly fitting pieces confirming that you get what you pay for. Lego costs, but it lasts and works well.

My 2 year old loves the Disney Cars DVD and was thrilled to get his favourite characters in lego form. He replays the scenes over and over again with this durable lego set. Would definately recommend.

As my little boy is mad about Ted Glen's truck and this appeared to be the only related toy on the market, getting it was a bit of a no-brainer. I's quite nicely built and, though plasticky, it is pretty sturdy. The cranking handle turns with a satisfying click. Apart from that, the only other moving feature are the opening doors. There is enough room to open a door and put one of the figures (not included) into the seats although impatient little ones may find themselves pulling the doors out of shape in the process. Luckily, they clip back in easily enough. The 'H' frame on which the ladder rests, is a little loose and tend to come out a bit too easily but it's not reall a big issue.

I would have liked to have seen a Ted Glen figure included with the truck since it appears the only way to get this is to buy a Postman Pat / Jess / Ted Glen figure set which doubles the price. Other than that, my only other concern is how long it will last before the superglue comes out - a bit too early to tell at the moment, but at least it's providing a lot of entertainment in the meantime.

Like the other reviews, my son loves this toy but the fact that it lacks the driver figure really spoils the enjoyment. He hasn't broken it yet but the quality of the plastic is not overwhelming. It is quite expensive for what it is, note that it is abit cheaper in Tesco (paid just under £10).

I bought this car for my friend. This car is EXCELLENT. Very fast, stable and very easy to control it. Also a price is fantastic for such a good quality. I'm Ferrari fan and I already have two Ferrari RC cars but I just had to buy this car as well.

Firstly the product is advertised as a nice shiny orange yet the one that is sent out is a dull yellow! now that to me is false advertising to begin with because there is no mention of the colour of the car and therefore one goes off the colour in the pictures. Secondly it really feels like an inferior quality product but on the other hand its not expensive at all. Now at first i thought i was getting a bargain for the price but now that i have it in my hands and have had the opportunity to analyse the product fully and come to a verdict. I would say its a product that just about does justice in relation to the price but i wouldn't say i have a bargain in my hands.

Not sure who likes Holley Shiftwell more - my 4 yr old or me, ha ha! She's a purple car that can fly, you can't go wrong! My son takes her (and Fin McMissile) everywhere he goes and she has to be left out on his dresser at night instead of put in the case with the others. The only dislike is the plastic bits - her mirrors and the like are made of a fragile looking plastic that I'm afraid may not last, but overall she's just as pretty as she was in the movie and my son is extremely happy to have her. I came back with some new data after a while of playing with this toy.

For the first time when I took it outdoor I have noticed that it has the tendency to go up very fast, despite to the fact that I didn't pushed the throttle not even half way. Another issue is the fact that this helicopter cannot be controlled at all, even in the softest breeze. The first big crash happened in a very strange way: It was quite high (as it wanted to be), pushing the lever forward, the tail raised a little bit and the main blades smashed into its own body. I couldn't believe when I saw some pieces from it flying around and the main body smashing on the ground.

The good part (...) is that it resisted to this serious impact. It lost some parts (weights, leads and screws) from the flying bar. I ordered the parts and I took it again outdoor.

After a few difficult low flights, it suddenly went up at around 30m height, without any response to my commends.

I lowerred the throttle to almost zero, with no response. After a few desperate manouvers it started to descent and finaly landed in one piece.

Meanwhile, I ordered another helicopter, made by professionals, which brought me a real flying experience.

About Syma S031 G...is a toy, as is correctly mentioned on this site. It can be the first step into this hobby, but not more. However, I will keep it on a shelf, just for display.

Bought this for my son's 21st birthday-he's just a big kid at heart-he loves it!

Very well made, able to withstand crash landings, but scares the hell out of one of the cats!

Only for use in a large room unless you are an expert pilot, think it would be better outdoors on a still day!

I gave this product to my 4 year old great nephew. He quickly mastered the steering controls but did tend to keep the car running at high speed. There were a number of crashes at first but neither the furniture or the car suffered. The only damage to date was a detached hub centre trim which was found on the garden path. The toy is robust, has a powerful enough motor and adequate controls. It was particularly good value at the reduced price.

Bought this for five year old, who had no problems mastering the controls. My only criticism of the car concerned the ground clearance. On Axminster carpet which does not have a deep pile, any thicker areas could cause the car to stop. Otherwise, a good buy and useful toy, although the on switch beneath the car is at risk of being left on which runs down the batteries.

As with most die cast vehicles this is a durable little toy. As a little extra present (along with Mater) for my daughter's fourth birthday this seemed to hit the spot. Can't rate it highly for educational value but it does spark imaginative play and I'm sure Mater and McQueen will have many adventures in the land of bedroom in the next couple of years.
