Bought this for my sons 6th brthday, we loved it and knew it would be flimsy but didn't expect the cars spoiler to have broken off 10 minutes after getting it out the box. That aside we all thought it was great just make sure you put it away if you are having a birthday party :-D
I got this for my twin 3 year olds for xmas and so far its been a fun experience for all of us.
I put it together myself which means its pretty simple to do because i normally struggle with stuff like this, The only part of putting it together i found annoying was the raised part of the track because it doesn't tell you how to do it it just says to put them however you think is right so that did take me a good half hour to get it as good as i could.
When the boys started racing they pulled the trigger all the way so the cars kept flying off the track but once i explained to them to do it slowly and only pull the trigger half way they quickly got the hang of it.
As a first scalextric its a really good buy it was simple for me to put together and also simple for the children to get the hang of and so far we haven't had anything go wrong with it.
