    Costumer Reviews

Bought this last christmas, along with a lot of other Airfix 1:76 ; 1:72 soldiers (never understand why the soldiers Airfix make are 1:72, yet the model vehicles are all 1:76! Hopefully someone cleverer than me could put a comment up as to why - I'm fascinated as to why!)

It brought back some good memories for me as a lad, but also some of the frustrations of model making for a young lad - particularly when small pieces break! However, armed with prior knowledge I helped my son with this ; we took time and care over making it without rushing. This had the added benefit of spending some real quality time with my son ; he really enjoyed it! Particularly when we spray painted it using aerosol car sprays!

It looks fantastic now ; D-Day has been re-enacted many times in our household - with the allies actually losing on a couple of occasions!

If I was Airfix, this is how I would advertise ALL my products to the Dads of young kids ; promote the benefits of using kits like this to spend quality time together.

    Great fun.
