This was purchased for my God son who is 6 years old. He found it great and was able to operate it effectively after a few minutes. The "big kids" thought it was great as well.
This was bought as an Christmas present for a 7 year old step grandson ; from the moment he opened the box on Christmas morning to the moment he gets up some three days later, it is the first toy he plays with.
Given that whilst teaching him the controls as an excuse to play with it ourselves, he is already capable of reversing around corners etc. aka a real car.
In fact, I can see it giving us all hours of pleasure ; competition outside in the garden (when the snow clears!)
